Trujillo is a city with a vast colonial heritage, and many of the cafés are located on the traditional big old spaniers houses.  

Here, in no particular order, are some of the nicest spots to meet, chat and have a great time.

CASONA DEZA 

Casona Deza is a great place to go alone with a book, a newspaper, or with a friend for casual chat. Short walk from downtown (plaza de armas) 

Tea and pour-over coffe are right on the spot, and do not forget desserts like Cranberry Chessecake, Aguaymanto Chessecake, Passion Fruit Chessecake, Lemon Pie, etc.

CHEZ GÉRARD

"Chez Gérard" or the museum café is a bar-café located on the ground floor of the toy museum building. The café was planned to be a "final stop" into the toy museum's tour. Now it's one of the most iconic café-bar in Trujillo, where, on fridays and saturdays, you can go and enjoy Live music while you get a drink in a jazzy environment.

If you want to enjoy good music while reading a book or just hanging out with friends, or if you are a musician and you want to jump in with the band, then you should check out the "chez gérard"

A modern café located in front of the Nacional University of Trujillo (UNT). Perfect place to enjoy a traditional breakfast, a good meal or a coffe.
