HUACA TAKAYNAMO
Takaynamo Huaca is a Peruvian archaeological site from Chimu culture, it is located in La Esperanza district, Trujillo, La Libertad in the Peruvian north coast. It is located approximately 4 kilometers north of the historic center of Trujillo. It's part of the touristic circuit called Ruta Moche.
The wooden figures found at the archaeological site suggest that it had a religious or funerary purpose. It is surrounded by an exterior wall, a rectangular courtyard whith two overlapping platforms and a ramp. The mural has a polychromatic decoration, which is distinctly different from those found in Chan Chan.
